A baby boom

Looks like there will lots of very loved little bundles coming in to the world soon. I have had so many maternity sessions lately and I LOVE them. It is so different to have the clients actually hold a pose:) The mom's are always up for anything and it is fun to see the dad's squirm:) Most dad's are not so comfortable in front of the camera...but as you can see, the love for their children shines right through. I had a great time with this couple.

Two Girls and a Guy...

Can you even imagine what he is in for? I grew up with sisters...there were 3 of us. I cannot image how a brother would have survived:) In all seriousness, these kids got along great. They each brought their unique personalities, and we had a great time. It is always my hope, that everyone leaves feeling like the whole experience wasn't "quite" as bad as they expected:) I truly enjoyed this group....so mom, here is your sneak peek! I can't wait for you to see the rest.

My Winner!

Not for the current contest....but for the drawing I had at the Holiday Collectibles show. The winner won a free session. I had so many entries, and I finally had the session with my winner. She is one of those super cute little pregnant girls:) And such a sweetie too. I cannot wait to see that baby. She said I could post one and I am taking her up on it:) Best wishes for the next few weeks! Tell hubby he has less than 4 weeks before he is back in the studio:)

Some of my favorite things:)

Well, I am asked by almost every client....what should my child wear? I am torn here. I like the simple, but I also love adding in a little "funky". They are kids, they love color...and this should be fun. So, I wanted to share a few links to places that have some really cool and funky clothes. I know boys are a little bit harder. I have a 5 year old boy and I LOVE Wonderboy, which they have at Babes and Buckaroos (and you can see my display there too:))

Contest Time!

Click on the image to view larger.

Well, 2006 was a great year for me. Being fairly new to Austin, I had no idea how my little business idea would work, but I loved what I was doing so I went for it. You guys were wonderful:) I am so thankful for the wonderful people I met and the gorgeous children that I had the pleasure to work with. As a little thank you, we decided to do a contest.

Let me first say, wow...this was tough. I started trying to pick my favorites and ended up with waaaaaaaay to many to choose from. Although, not very scientific...I came up with a plan. I picked my favorite images from each session in 2006, put them all in a box and had my husband draw out 12. We couldn't really go wrong.
Now for the details:
The winner of the contest will receive:
*A Free Standard Session (for themselves)
*A Free Standard Session for a friend
*8X10 Fine Art Canvas
All prizes are valid through 2007.

How do you vote? Visit the Fancy Pants website (listed on the right hand side of the blog) or at http://www.fancypantsphotography.com, go to the contact page and send me an email (I will not use your information to contact you). In the comments section, type the letter associated with the image you would like to vote for. There is only one vote per email address please. So, go get your friends and family and tell them to get out and vote:)

UPDATE: 75% of votes for each contestant that come in directly (without coming through the contact page) will be counted toward the totals. This is to be fair to all contestants. Good luck everyone...all of your kids are just gorgeous, and you all have lots of friends if votes are an indication:) I will be digging through for weeks!

The contest lasts through January 31, 2007.

Such Innocence:)

I mean...can you get any sweeter? Such a doll...full of energy, don't get me wrong, but look at that face. I had a great time with her. She chose a lot of her own poses, and teddy was in most all of them:) Don't worry, Mom, this is the very first one in the batch, so I think we did just fine.

Two Days in a Row

See...I am trying to stay on top of things in the new year:) This is literally the first image I have looked at from this session, but what a personality! She was a doll, and I had a great time with her and her brother. This pose was all her own, and she looks adorable. Sometimes the kids have the best ideas!

Keep an eye on the blog. I am going to be randomly selecting a few images from 2006 to post for a photo contest. The winner will receive a free session. This will be coming soon:)

I'm Back!

Yes, I said I was going to do sooo many things over the break, and I did get some "behind the scenes" things done, but not as much updating as I would have liked. The good news is that we had a wonderful Christmas and I hope you all did too! This month will be hectic. Our move that was supposed to happen in December is now set for sometime this month. If you are scheduled this month, your email reminder will tell you where to come for your session. The 20% off canvas 16X16 and larger started this month and will continue through February. I am looking forward to all the new faces!
Here is a cutie from last month...until next time:)
