I don't have any images to post right now because I am in the middle of editing a TON of sessions, but as I was working I started thinking and decided to share my thoughts. Scary. I really am thankful for what I do, and the people who choose me to photograph their children. I don't work on weekends. I don't do evenings. I know that my schedule is not always the easiest to make work. I promised to save weekends and evenings for my family, and you have graciously accepted that... and you make it work. I really feel like I have some of the best clients in the world. Today I had four sessions. It was a crazy day. I am tired, but can honestly say that I enjoyed today. All of the clients that I worked with, are people who have been to me three or more times. That is amazing. They are the kind of people who hug me goodbye and who I chat with (probably wayyyyyy too much) all the way through. I look back over the past months and think about all the wonderful people who come through my doors and the children that I have watched grow up. Some, from the time they were only days old. I am blessed to be able to do what I do, and I am blessed that I have gotten to know the people who are now my clients and friends. So I just wanted to take the time to say thank you. Thank you for trusting me, thank you for continuing to come back year after year...it is special to me to have this place...the place where I get to document your child's life. I appreciate it and appreciate you.

It is always a little bittersweet when the kids start school. They are excited for the new teachers, seeing their friends again, etc., but it also marks another end of the year's summer vacations, lazy family days. The year they start kindergarten amplifies this by 1000. I remember being so emotional knowing they were starting school. I have one left at home, so I get to do this one more time:) It is crazy to me how time flies. I look at pictures of them on their first days of school, when I thought they were sooo big, and they look like babies. This year, I am marking the beginning of the year with back to school minis. They will be very limited, as we don't have much time:) I have 3 dates available and only 4 spots each day (2 mornings and 1 evening). The sessions will be 10 minutes and feature your child with a vintage school desk, and will be shot outside. Each session is $100 and includes the session, 2 5x7s, and a set of wallets (all one pose). You will get 3-5 proofs to choose from for the package. Any additional prints can be ordered ala carte. Clothes are really important in these sessions. You can make the image timeless with traditional clothes, fun with hats and funky outfits, or add your own details to include your child's personality. Whether they are starting preschool, kindergarten, or any other grade...the most important thing is that you are stopping time for just a few minutes and recording another year:) Sessions are first come first served.

Christmas Card Designs!

The designs for 2009 are on the website!!! As always, some designs are completely original and designed by me, and others are not. I will print each card design for one client, so once it is reserved, it is gone. Most designs can be customized with new wording, or additional images as space allows. I can also design a card around your favorite image or images! All cards will have a coordinating print on the back...they look so cute! If you have had a session in the last several months and would like to use images from that session...no problem. Otherwise, call and book today as Christmas sessions go very quickly and we will not be able to accommodate requests for card sessions after the first week of November. All cards must be ordered by November 20th.

The fine print:
A $50 reservation fee is required to reserve cards. The $50 fee is then applied to card purchases. Cards are printed on watercolor or linen paper and flat 5x5 or 5x7 cards are $2.75 each (with envelopes). Pearl paper is also available for $2.85 each, and any design can be made into a folded card. Folded 5x5 or 5x7 cards are $3.25 each. There is a minimum order of 50 cards. Cards are only available after the minimum print purchase has been met. There is a $50 charge for custom one of a kind designs created just for you, with up to 2 revisions. There is no charge to utilize an existing design. All cards will have the Fancy Pants website in small type on the back.

Babies are perfect. Everything about them. I have photographed so many lately, and have developed a little baby bug, but I think I will have to settle for client newborns:) Here are a few recent images from my last 2 newborn sessions. I could truly just eat them up. Keep the babies coming:)
