It is that time of year again...We are having our Splash Page Contest. For those who are challenged in the internet department, that is the first page that pops up when entering sites like mine:) So...if you win, you are in essence, the face of Fancy Pants for the next few months (you also get a free session and one for a friend too!) The rules are simple: 1) you can vote once a day per IP address 2) you can send it to as many of your friends to vote as you like, but they can only vote once per day too 3) Be nice. Only positive comments about a subject will be posted... It was incredibly difficult to decide which images to place in the contest, and again, I would be thrilled with any of them.

Email Issues

I had my email client crash this week, and it will no longer open:( I am able to get new mail (although I wasn't for several hours), but I cannot access my address book. If you think you should have heard from me and haven't...I may not have your contact info anymore...yes, this is a nightmare at the busiest time of the year. It is the insanely busy time of year, but in an effort to try to keep up with the blog, I will try to post more, by just letting the images speak:) They sure make some beautiful kiddos in Texas:)

Double Your Money Gift Certificates are Back!!!

For the past four years, many of you have come to the Holiday Collectibles event to visit me and pick up "Double your Money" gift certificates. This year, I will not be at the event, but I wanted to continue the gift certificates for those that like to take advantage of them. From now through Friday, October 29th, you can buy a gift certificate and I will double the amount up to a $100 certificate. The certificates can be used anytime in 2011! As a bonus, I always do a 20% off gallery canvas promo for January, February and March sessions. If you book your beginning of the year session (Jan-March) when you buy your certificate, you will also get a mini wallet book. These are super cute and are not available for purchase. They are hard cover and feature 12 images from your session...they are great for putting in your purse to show off your little ones. They are really beautiful! The canvas special is always popular with those who are building their canvas walls, so make sure to book early to get the best dates.

Neglected!!! The Blog.

Yikes, I keep meaning to come on here and post some images, but time just gets away from me. This is going to be a bit of a random post, but I feel like I need to play catch up:) I have been editing like crazy and seeing all these families makes me realize how badly I need to document my own. I know we don't always feel like we look great, and we are our harshest critics...but someday, our kids will look back and we want them to be able to see how much we loved them. They are not going to care how we looked...(I am preaching to myself here because I don't have a single picture of my kids and I on my wall...but I am going to!)
Things are hectic here as I am sure they are everywhere with school back in and sports and holidays approaching....don't forget that IF you are hoping to get in for Christmas images, time is running out. I have VERY few spots left.
As I read back over this, I clearly have issues with run on sentences and random punctuation, but I am going to let it go for the sake of getting this post online:) More to come, I promise....and kudos to these beautiful ladies who both look great AND got in the pictures:) I also had to put one of a gorgeous newborn...what is a blog post without a baby?!?

I have a feeling that you will be seeing a lot of newborns on the blog for awhile....I am not sure what was going on nine months ago, but I have a ton of moms due the first two weeks of September:) I am not complaining...don't get me wrong. I could photograph babies all day. Love them. Sweet little E didn't wake up the whole session...she is gorgeous, just like big sis:)

Mom and dad make beautiful children....I was so looking forward to meeting this little guy. His big sister is beautiful and mom is the sweetest person around, so I knew he would be lovely...and he is. This peek is totally for mom because she is meeting with me two days later than she expected and I KNOW she can't wait to see them...I hope you love them:)

I got to have these two back a few weeks ago. They are both dolls and I was inspired by this little cooperative two year old, to try a few with mine. Let's just say that there is a difference between 2 year old boys and 2 year old girls...or maybe there is just a difference between MY two year old boy and this two year old girl because she did everything I asked:) Love it.

I think for some reason...in my mind...kids freeze at the age I last photographed them. I was excited to see these two again, and totally shocked when they arrived as big kids:) I was all geared up to chase them around the yard and here they were following all of my directions! Mom reminded me that they were pretty little last time I photographed them and they did actually age since then:) They grew up gorgeous obviously...



p.s I still have a few openings left in September if you are hoping to get the daunting task of Christmas cards done early:)

Time with the little man...

So the kids are all back in school, well almost. Mostof the time our preschool follows the elementary school calendar, but not at the beginning of the year...or the end. SO my little man and I have a couple of weeks together before he starts. Lately, I have had some two year olds that were soooo easy, that I thought I should really try with mine. To be fair...he really did cooperate for a few minutes. He doesn't like to actually make eye contact when I have a camera (which is a problem) and he has also learned to say "cheese" somewhere. Parents...please don't teach your kiddos to say "cheese"...(it doesn't produce anything close to a real smile:)) Anyway, here is what we got....we were trying to bring in a couple of ideas we got from the Crewcuts catalog (which I LOVE LOVE LOVE and would buy every single item from if money were no object). Until next time:)

Miss M

I always say that I love when they come back, and I do. I think Miss M was about 4 the first time we met. Now she goes to school with my son, and has grown into a confident little girl with lots of ideas (both in general and for our shoot:)) I love seeing the kiddos growing up and I love being in this community where I see so many of my clients all the time...at the ball parks, school, and the grocery store. The other day as I was pushing my cart out of the store, something fell off the bottom and a sweet little girl immediately grabbed it for me, when I looked down to say thank you, it was little Miss M. Thanks M:)

Mom and I have been friends since before she was born, so it is crazy to see her becoming so grown up. It is also a plus that mom and I are friends, because she let me do all the styling and just let us go:) She is a little beauty and did a fantastic job. These are the first few I have edited, but I think I need more girls in ties:)

Is she not a cute little bug...so tiny:) Loved her, and mom was great. She was up for anything. As we got to talking, I found out that mom is a pediatrician and just joined a local practice. I know that so many of us look for great pediatricians who understand us. She has a great personality and can see things from a mom's point of view. In fact, I found out that there are three other doctors in her practice and they are all moms too:) If you are looking for a pediatrician, (and I know a lot of you are due with your first soon, since I have you on the calendars) I would recommend giving her a call.
