[ FIVE ].

Do you remember being five? I sorta do. I remember playing outside until late, loving tag and hide and seek...I also remember making mud pies. I know that most people think of that as kind of a joke, but I really did hunt for different colors of dirt, mix in water and wait for it to dry up. Five was fun from what I can remember...and now seeing that age in my own kids and in clients' children...it is just an age of sweet innocence. Five is on the verge of becoming a "kid". I remember it was almost like a panic when I saw my little boy becoming a kid, and I just wanted to stop time. Starting kindergarten is huge and a little bittersweet. My son is definitely a kid now, so I cherish the picture I took of him holding his stuffed dog, Butch...in that picture he is still my little guy. (I love the "kid" too:)) Here is to stopping time for just a second.

Little M was soooo photogenic and just an absolute pleasure to photograph. She is five and may be growing up, but she is obviously becoming a lovely young lady.

Newborn Heaven:)

Awwwww. I love newborns. If it wasn't for the complete lack of sleep, I would want to go back to the days of having one:) This little guy was so perfect. He slept pretty much the whole time with that perfectly content look on his face:)

I love this face...

Her face is so stinkin cute, even all scrunched up:) It was so nice to see her again. I photographed mommy's maternity, her newborn shots, and now here again at 10 months. Have I mentioned that I LOVE this age. So fun and full of personality:)

New.

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph my college roommate's baby this week. As a bonus, my best friend from high school was in town and came along too. It had been too long since I had seen them ( since we graduated 2 or 3 years ago and all) and it was nice to catch up. Oh, and while we were talking, we managed to get a few pictures of the sweet little guy too. He is a total doll...just perfect. As always...mom was worried that we didn't get anything:)

We are not going to talk about anything dad's guitar may or may not have gone through to get this shot, we are just going to say it was worth it:) Such a cute and busy one year old. He was a trooper and lasted quite awhile, and definitely long enough to get lots of great shots. See you soon, mom:)

A Great Find!

I have been getting this catalog for awhile, but I just had to share. This stuff is soooo cute, and lots of it would be perfect for sessions. I love when clients bring fun, trendy and unique things, and this stuff fits the bill:)

Mine...

I cannot believe it, but my little guy is about to be 3 months old! This is a hard age to photograph, and as most photographers will tell you...there is an anomaly when it comes to shooting your own kids....it is so hard! Anyway, I am in love with this little dude:) His big brother and sister love him lots too.

Twins!

My first set of newborn twins and they were gorgeous! I had such a good time shooting them. I can only imagine how tired mom and dad have to be:) (One is wearing me out!)
They have a big sister who is equally cute, so I had to grab a couple of her too...

It was a hard day...

...not because it was hard shooting this little cutie (it wasn't). She is one of my favorite little clients and this is the second time I have had the opportunity to photograph her. (She is the baby with the beautiful eyes on my home page). The hard part was that just a minute or two after this shot, she leaned forward and the basket tipped...she walked away with a fat, bleeding lip. I wanted to cry with her. Thank goodness I got an update from mom that she is doing fine. I can only hope she won't remember this next time she comes in:) She was a pleasure to shoot and she is beautiful to boot! Hope you feel all better soon Miss H:)

Cute Dude...

This little guy is as cute as they come. I saw him as a newborn too...all these kiddos are growing up with the looks:)
People always ask me what to bring to sessions. I love texture and color, and any unique/cool pieces can be incorporated into the shots. Be creative...the sky is the limit:)

Babypalooza....

It seems like I have had nothing but babies lately, but I am not complaining...I love them. Here is another brand spankin' new one:) The monkey is watching over him because his dad calls him little monkey...how cute is that?

LIttle Miss A

It was so good to see Miss A again:) I photographed mom's maternity, her newborn, and now her one year pictures. She is an absolute doll. We gave her a full morning of photography, but we have some cute shots to show for it:) Thanks again to all the clients I am seeing for the second and third times...that is the best compliment!

Newborns...

I love to photograph them. The little wrinkles, the peely skin, even the little belly button stumps:) I love it all. They are so new and fresh and it is gone so fast. I always feel honored to capture these fleeting moments.

It is such a compliment to have clients return with their children...thank you!

Ok, how cute is this? Just had to share it:)

My new site is up:)

I am still tweaking things a little bit, and I will of course be adding a splash page with a client image. Which image...will be up to you. The contest will be posted in the next couple of days, and then...let the voting begin. Until then...please visit my new site, and tell me what you think:)

The other contest I talked about...I have found the most AMAZING coffee table books. They far surpass anything else I have seen, and I am going to offer them. BIG NEWS!

Ok, so I am back, but that isn't the big news. First, I have a new logo...which I love:) Second, I am having another contest for my splash page (yea!) Time has flown!

I cannot believe that I am starting back to work. The time has really gone soooo fast. My little guy is 6 weeks old already. I have appointments booked starting on April 2, and still have a few open slots in April, so give me a call if you wanting to set something up. Here is one more of my sweet little boy:) I will be back to posting clients very soon!

It's a Boy!

Our little guy decided to come early! We were scheduled for the end of the month, but he made his appearance Thursday morning. He was 8lbs 6ozs at 36 1/2 weeks, and he is a sweetie! I will post a real session with him as soon as I have the energy to do one:)

If we had order deliveries scheduled, I apologize for the delays and will try to get back on track soon. I appreciate your patience!

Beautiful baby...

and mommy too. I had this newborn last week (my last session before my leave), and he was such a cutie. I wanted to share a few to relieve mom's anxiety. He did great...

I think the next newborn you will see here, will likely be mine:)
