A Contest

I decided to add an image to the splash page of my website (the first page you see when you visit)...and to run a little contest to help me pick which one! The winner will receive one free standard session and an 8X10 mounted canvas. The contest will run through September 7th, so get out there and vote! (Only one vote per computer). I love so many images from the past few months, so I had a photographer friend help me narrow it down. Good luck to everyone!

Christmas Sessions

If you haven't booked your session yet, now is the time. I am almost booked up for October and November, but I still have quite a few options available in September. Hope everyone has a GREAT first day of school.

Newborns...

They are a different breed. We are on their schedule and they are oblivious to ours. That is just how it works:) I think mom and dad were a little worried. I got this feeling when they asked if I had ever had a baby that I couldn't get ANY pictures of...I told them no, and I think they will agree that the statement remains true:) She is a doll. Congratulations!

A cold front...

...just kidding. These kiddos are in Austin and it was HOT. We have had nothing but overcast cloudy days and when we wanted to "pretend" it was fall for a few minutes, we were drenched in sweat. It was worth it because they are super cute. I had a great time with all of you:) How much cuteness can one family get?!?

My Charlie Rocket Babies...

They all did sooo good. It was just amazing. If you haven't seen the clothes, they are super cute and are even sold at Babes and Buckaroos. You can also find them very soon at Babycenter.com (you might even see these little guys wearing them on the site:))

Also, the Matilda Jane catalog is online...several of my clients are featured wearing the amazing clothes. I will be hosting a trunk show October 6...drop me an email if you are interested in coming!

Little Ones

When you know you have a session with 3 kiddos that are 5 and under, you know it is going to be a little bit tough. That is totally ok, because they are kids...I expect it. I do have to say though...when I get suprised by 3 like these, who do everything I ask...I don't complain:) It was really quite amazing. Kids that little are supposed to run from me:) Anyway, mom it was pleasure! Perfect models and cuties to boot...

Do they make them more perfect?

I am kinda doubting it. A big thanks to mom and dad for toughing it out during a long, HOT, session. I should probably prepare my newborn parents for the temperature in the studio when we shoot newborns, but I don't...and they made it:) Isn't she gorgeous??? Congrats!

Commercial Work:)

It has been a crazy busy couple of weeks, but a lot of fun too. I am in the process of shooting 3 clothing lines. I am done with 2 of them. If you are pregnant...check out

Christmas in July???

Yep...I am already getting calls for it, so I am going to put them out there. The 2007 Christmas card designs are here. To view the designs, just go to http://www.fancypantsphotography.com and click on the proofing tab at the top. The login to view the cards is: Christmas (it is case sensitive, so type carefully). To reserve your card design (and pull it off the website) just call me and reserve your card with a $50 deposit towards your card purchase. I can change wording on the designs if space permits. Some designs don't have any wording yet, so it is totally up to you! This year I am offering several styles and paper choices. The designs are 5X7 or 5X5 and can be flat, folded, or 5x5 tri-fold design. The paper choices are...photopaper (for flat cards), or cardstock. The specialty papers are: metallic paper (flat cards), watercolor, or pearl paper. I have samples of all of these if you can't quite picture it.
The costs are as follows:
5X5 or 5X7 flat: $2.50/each
5X5 or 5X7 folded: $2.75/each
5X5 tri-fold: $3.50/each
There is a $.25/each charge for specialty papers, and a $.25/each discount for orders of 150 or more. All cards are ordered in denominations of 25 and come with white or parchment envelopes. Additional 5X5 trifold designs can be created for clients as well.

The last Christmas card orders must be placed by November 16th, so Christmas sessions will end in the first few weeks of November. Last year we were booked through Christmas around October 1st...so call early! Hope you like the designs!

Tiny twosome

I have had not one, but two sets of twins in the past few weeks. Love it! These guys were so good. I couldn't wait to take a peek. Is this not the cutest thing you have ever seen???

Baby on Board...

Could she be any cuter? It is soooo not fair:) I KNOW that I didn't look this cute pregnant! I have had so many darling women come in lately! This is one of the most recent. Hope you are hanging in there :)

On another note, I am starting to do some commercial photography. I will be shooting an edgy maternity line, as well as a really cute girls line within the next few months. Please let me know if you want to be considered as one of the models. I will submit one of my favorite shots from the session to the designers for decisions. It is going to be FUN!

This week has been crazy, but it is fun to be back to work. Here are a couple from the last two days. More updates soon!

Oh, Man!

The life of a photographer's child can be a hard one....never a break. Actually, they really are having fun. We have been on the beach every day, and it has been wonderful. They agreed to the photo shoot, only if they were paid:( I am really not that bad, I promise! Anyway, we will be back to work next week. Summer sessions are filling up, so if you would like to have a session before school starts call soon!

Ok, ok, one more

I said I was done, but I had to post one more. I love this age! Six to eight months is sooo fun. Obviously, this little one is all sugar, no spice:)

Getting a few more in before vacation...

Brother and sister...both super easy:) I love the little stuffed animal...reminds me how quick they grow up.

Fun family

This family was wonderful and up for anything. The little guy is sooo cute too! I also want to remind everyone of my vacation schedule.
I will be gone from June 2-June 17...and then again from July 3-9.
I will however, check email while I am away. If you are waiting on an order that does not arrive by Friday, it will be the week of June 18th. I will be having a wonderful time laying on the beach and hopefully getting a tan and making some memories with my family:) I have some limited availablity the last week of June if you are hoping for a session that month.

I had a maternity session not so long ago that I posted about here. I predicted that there might be a beautiful baby coming along in the near future...
Don't call me about horse races, the lottery, etc. (I'l still to baby predictions)...but I think I am one for one:)

Last One...

I am playing some major catch up today. I have had quite a few DARLING babies lately. If I haven't told you...I love babies, but especially the ones that are 6-12 months. SO CUTE. This one of course is no exception. He is another little guy that I got to photograph as a newborn and now look at him...growing up already:)

Cutie Patootie

I got to photograph this little guy for the first time when he was 5 days old. If you have been to my office...he is the one wrapped in cheese cloth hanging on the wall:) He was super cute then and he still is. What a cutie patootie!

My Mother's Day

Ya know what it feels like to actually get an image you love of your OWN child. It is the best. My little girl (who is suddenly not that little anymore), let me take her out for a session...with no complaining...since it was Mother's Day week:) I try to milk it for the whole week...I think that is fair. So anyway...it is one of those moments where you look at your child and you realize how amazing they are, how blessed I am, and how I could never deserve to be given these beautiful kiddos. Anyway, I am so grateful to have them. Happy late Mother's day to all of you...truly amazing mothers.

Brothers...

I see it all the time...siblings that have such different personalities...it is hard to get them in the same frame. They always slow down for at least a second or two:)

I have had a couple of sessions with her brother and sister, but I got her all to myself this time. Such a doll!!!
